In the spring of 2020, I downloaded some recording software for fun. After a late night phone call with Brad Feeney, I convinced myself (but probably not Brad) that I could make a rap mixtape. I didn't have any real experiencing rapping, nor had I ever made rap songs.

I'd wake up early most mornings and sit in my living room trying to write out lyrics, though my writing was often forced and it didn't flow well. I came to terms with my limitations and instead focused on creating tracks that just felt powerful to me. Each Friday or Saturday night starting at about 9pm, I'd set up my gadgets for recording and would start making different sounds. I'd work until 3 or 4am.

Eventually, my computer crashed and I had to wait a few weeks for it to be repaired, and once it was fixed I had lost all of my work. However, during the recording process I did remember to upload most takes to a Google Drive folder I shared with Brad. Without those saved tracks, I probably would have dropped the project all together.

I decide that I wanted the mixtape to seem like it was made with a group of people, which is why there are so many people listed in the credits. This was all really just an opportunity for me to officially release some ideas I've had souping around in my brain. I'm glad I made this. It's kinda terrible. But I still like.
