I spent almost two years writing the majority of this album. It took a year to rehearse and demo. Recording was spread out through a three month period in 2014.

We first attempted to record guitar and drums at the same time. I was running three different tube amps in unison to get a beefy, complex tone. The problem we had was a constant buzzing when all amps were played together. It was believed, though not by me, that the impedance was off which caused the buzz. It turns out that all amps were connected by an ABY box that did not have a ground, so the buzz was a ground loop. Guitar tracks were then performed later, using an Orange TH30 and a Hot Rod Deluxe.
